Summer Learning Journey (Day 4: Activity 1)

Day 4: Hitting a High Note...

I like the He Honore one, because we've sung it for Mau Rakau, so I'm familiar to it.

Summer Learning Journey: (Day 3: Activity 1)

Day 3: (Activity 1: It's all in the family)

If I was in a family with nine siblings, and for example, I'm the eldest, I would feel kind of jealous, because I think that my mum would pay more attention to my younger siblings. Also, I would feel exhausted most of the time, because I have to look after my younger siblings, and have to do stuff for them. But at the same time, I think I would enjoy being with the family, because I could do stuff and play with my siblings, the more the merrier.

Summer Learning Journey (Activity 1: Day 2)

Day 2: (Activity 1 - A house or a home?)

The two similarities between a Wharepuni and my house are:

- It both has windows
- It both has a door

Two differences:

- The Wharepuni is mostly made out of wood and flax
- The Wharepuni is smaller than the houses these days.

Summer Learning Journey Day 1

For our Summer Learning Journey, we have started completing our practice questions.

Activity 1:

Fact 1: Maui's brothers doesn't want him to go fishing with them, because they say that he doesn't know how to, and he's still so young, and skinny.

Fact 2: Maui is persistent, he kept on trying, and he proved his brothers that he also can do what they can do.

Fact 3: He used his failure as a motivation to keep on trying, and never give up.
